yesterday Part 2: Rikita-san loves Maui Mike chicken. so do i, and now so does Nori-san. no chemicals, never frozen, so probably the freshest chicken on the island. if you drive through Wahiawa, Maui Mike’s is worth the stop… then i took the boys to a couple factories on the North Shore so they can see, feel, and smell how a surfboard is made. then after getting high off the resin, we got high off coffee and tea. then even higher from these sweet snow puffs! i switched all my fin systems to Future. that’s because i look into the future and you won’t find a better selection in fins… so cool seeing all these backyard factories on the North Shore. this is where half of the worlds surfboards are born. i picked up Micah’s new board from Akila Aipa. i can’t wait for Micah to try it because i want to try it right after. i almost waxed it up and took it out for an evening session. BUT i know that is taboo in surfing culture. so i’ll wait till he waxes it up… thank you Nori-san for the snacks! and thank you Rikita-san for more snacks!
see you boys soon for some more Boot Camp and surfboard fever…
