or mission was to hunt only prized fish. not quantity, but quality. it took patience and a lot of hard work, but the boys couldn’t have done any better. they kept on opening the cooler to look at the fish. talking about how they got it and the stories went on and on. all this fish in a restaurant would be in the hundreds of dollars. but nothing is for sale, the boys were already thinking about cooking it up for family and friends. sashimi, steamed, nitsuke, and fried. you won’t find a better mixed bag of fish than this…i usually have a girl or girls on the boat so i take it easy. but this time it was only us boys. so on the way back, i told the kids to hold on for their lives because Uncle Kirby was going to fly back. we were ripping 30mph non-stop weaving in and out of waves. doing cutbacks and off the lips. thanks to foiling, i can read the ocean way better than before. it was like a dream foiling session. a couple times the waves broke over the whole boat but Mayuki loves that. these kids aren’t afraid of big waves but i could see some fear in their faces and i was laughing. it was supposed to take us 4 hours to get back but we did it in 2 hours. just glad nobody flew off the boat. next time, girls or not, i’m flying home…they boys took their fish, and i took mine. once again, the ocean provided for us. thank you for your food and thank you for keeping us all safe. i can’t wait to do this again…
