i wanted to congratulate Kelia Moniz again for such a big accomplishment in her surfing career. traveling to china and placing 2nd is huge! the next surfing boom will be in china for sure and now kelia is famous there, and now she’s also part of chinese surfing history. still 18 years old, i’m so excited on her bright future ahead. a great girl representing hawaii! i’m so proud of her. GO-KELIA!
i’ve been dipping my feet into the rich world recently. been having opportunities at 5 star hotels around the world, and 5 star restaurants people can only dream of. i’m learning pretty fast what good service is, and what not so good service is. the littlest of things is what impresses me. take this for example. last week i was dropping off my surfer friends at the Halekulani hotel. i pull up, i get greeted by the friendly valet boys, they open our doors, they ask us how our day was, as i get back into my car, they ask me if i want water, i say “no thank you” because i’m not a hotel guest, the valet boy goes in the back, comes out with a ice cold water and says “please drink this, you must be thirsty from the hot sun.” i take it, i shake his hand, i drive away drinking an ice cold halekulani water. halekulani hotel is ranked in the top of the worlds finest hotels for it’s service. and now, i know why. i want to thank the halekulani valet boys for always taking care of my guests, my friends, and myself. i wish i can stay there someday. haha.
