omg, i watched this documentary on Netflix called “the social dilemma. it was pretty freaky. i kind of knew what social media companies do because nothing in this world is free. and for them to track you, keep your data, and know practically what you do and when you do is scary. in other words, they can actually control your life. and if you don’t believe me, hear it from former top executives from Facebook and Instagram. i told my friend to watch it and after it was done, she texted me “omg, that’s scary, i’m going to quit Instagram right now!” then she texted me an hour later saying “omg, i can’t delete my account!” haha… i was laughing so hard!!! she said that Instagram won’t let her delete her account, they will only let her disable it for a week. so her account will be alive forever? and even though she deleted her photos and messages, i told her “no, it’s not deleted. nothing gets deleted. it’s all stored on some cloud somewhere you don’t even know existed.”
so there it is. this is why i didn’t make a social media account. some stranger made one for me, used my full name, and it’s up and running. i don’t know who, i don’t know how, and i don’t know why. but i know that just for that reason, anyone can impersonate anyone. so if a guy named Kirby Fukunaga from Hawaii invites you to surf, dinner, or to hang out from his social media account, please go. please go because i want you to take a photo of the guy, send it to me, so i can hunt him down… thank you!
