Okinawa Grom Surfer Travels to Chiba….

197

good morning. there is some activity down south which is looking pretty good for some typhoon action. i ain’t moving until i get the course it will take because i don’t want to leave okinawa when the waves might come up again. so like usual, i’m playing it by ear. the next typhoon is going to dictate my next weeks schedule. but the cool thing is that, where ever i go, it will be the best spot and i’ll be surfing again… yeah!!
**i was up in chiba a few weeks ago and was watching okinawan 9 year old rising star grom kazuma miyagi surf his first event out of okinawa. okinawa doesn’t have beach breaks so it was a really good learning experience for kazuma. imagine learning how to surf at shallow sucky reef breaks that you can only surf on high tide? then your first beach break experience? that kid must have been stoked…. check out one of kazuma’s first beach break session when he was warming up for the oakley grom contest in shidashita, chiba, japan….
