i’m not sure who was more excited, the boys or me? i was ready to go from 3am this morning. haha.
the weather and conditions were perfect. we drove out about an hour out of Waikiki towards Molokai. on days like today, i think we could have drove to Japan. it was so calm…
when we reached the 180′ ledge, i dropped the boys in the ocean. there was no current and it was so calm that i jumped in too and let the boat float next to us.
we were ready for some action. just taking turns diving down to see what’s under us. all 3 of us waiting for the big fish to swim by.
but today, the only big fish that swam to us were big sharks. there were 10 of them swarming by the boys the whole morning. they were really aggressive sharks so after them making their presence known, we got back on the boat and headed back to Oahu.
Joshua and Elijah are surfing buddies from a very young age. it was pretty cool to see them growing as young watermen. today we didn’t get the big fish, but we had lots of fun. and we all know that the ocean is nature. sometimes it provides us with food, and sometimes it just provides us with experiences.
so after diving with aggressive sharks all morning, we saw a pod of dolphins on our last dive. after that, we decided that this is how we wanted to end our day in the ocean. a very happy one…
