Good morning. What an adventure I’m having. It was one of my dreams to visit Laos. I saw it on the Discovery channel years ago and ever since then, I wanted to come here. I took some amazing photos but don’t have my card reader. Traveling light is making me realize what I need in life, and what I don’t. The people in Luang Prabang were so kind, honest, and so beautiful. I took a 25 min flight to the other side of Laos last night and here I am in Vientiene. A totally different city. It’s the capital of Laos and kind of reminds me of Dempasar. Not quite the place for me so I’m moving on.
Since the flooding in Thailand, everybody has been coming to Vietnam and Laos so most flights and hotels are full. Luckily I can sleep anywhere.
There’s a bus known as “THE BUS TO HELL” that goes from Laos to Vietnam. It’s 24 hours of dirty, crampy, and bumpy ride through the mountains. No toilet too. That might be my only option back to Hanoi. Not really looking forward to that.
Anyway, going to jump on my motorcycle and speed away from this busy city.
As soon as I go back to Japan, I can download photos and share with you the beauty of Vietnam and Laos.
Have a wonderful day!
