did you hear about carissa moore getting a wildcard to surf in the Reef Hawaiian Pro? in the Mens competition? when i first heard about it, i was pretty shocked. first, don’t get me wrong, i think it is good hype for the contest, and i think carissa surfs better than a lot of pros on the tour. BUT!!!! she’s a girl! in america, we get carried away with women’s rights. women in america are treated equal to men. that means, they are 50% right all the time. haha, just joking. BUT, i think there should be a line in what we allow and don’t allow. i’m sure a lot of the men surfers in the contest weren’t too happy. to give that important entry slot to a girl that isn’t in the race for their ratings? what about the surfer that didn’t get to enter the contest because she took his slot? i’m sure he wasn’t to stoked.
carissa is a sweet girl and surfs better than most men, but i still think there should be a line in men’s surfing. there is no way a man could enter a women’s event right? what happened to fairness? i know that here will be a lot of people complaining about my opinion but i really don’t care. if you complain, just imagine me entering next years REEF WOMEN’S BIKINI CONTEST AT HALEIWA. HAHA….
carissa @ haleiwa. she ended up losing but i’m sure the other 3 competitors couldn’t sleep the night before. if they lost? OMG!!!
Hey Gordinho, Thank you for these photos thank you for keeping Japan updated with the surf scene on the North Shore. Since there’s no magazines anymore, been getting lots of request from Japanese people wanting to know what’s going on here on the North Shore. Thanks for the contest report on Mar Ohno and Carissa Moore. Next big swell, see you out there! Mahalo.
