on January 1st, we surfed early in the morning in the dark sky and pouring rain. then for an hour, the sun creeped out and it was blue skies! then soon after this, it started raining hard again.
i was driving home and saw something out of the ordinary. a waterfall? really?
this is just the 2nd time i’ve seen this in my 35 years of living next to this mountain. it was amazing! 
then yesterday the newspaper comes out with this surreal photo from Diamond Head. the lighting bolts in this storm were pretty scary! this is one of the coolest nature photos i’ve ever seen. who knows if this will ever happen again? 
January 2nd was my first foil day of the year. and since it’s a new year, i would like to send a message to all of my A+ students. keep your hands up, bend your knees, look forward, and may all your dreams come true! Big turns in 2022!
