Monk seals are very good hunters. They are big and slow but use their brain and skills to catch food. Very smart! 
They are also pretty shy. They won’t harm you unless they feel threatened by you. So don’t ever swim towards one of these, especially if it’s a mother with her baby. 
That last big swell washed so many shells up onto the beach. So we went shell hunting on the East side and found some nice ones. 
This one was my favorite. We even got some sunrise shells. Lucky!
