It was a very clear morning. Very low tide and a box jellyfish warning issued.
There were just a few on the beach so the risk was pretty low. Even if it was high, we’d still go out.
A shorter board is harder to paddle but that wasn’t a problem at all.
A shorter board feels much better on the bottom turn. It feels fast and alive!
Please don’t paddle like you normally do because the chances of you cutting your hand on the reef is high. When the tide is low like this, you have to do short shallow paddles. If you don’t know what that means, just pretend you’re a dachshund dog. Haha.
