Taiwan: Surf and Eat Tripping

14

This prepaid card is a necessity in Taiwan.  It will get you on the trains, make payments at 7/11, and buy you as many Boba Milk tea you will ever need.

I’m not sure why but I don’t remember Taiwan being this empty.  The old Taiwan I remember was packed with people and tourists.  Seems like nobody’s here right now.

This is a necessity everyday here.  $18 in Hawaii but just $2 here.  And much tastier too!

The people here are so kind.  If you go to a fruit store, the guy will offer to cut up your fruits so you can take it with you.

Some melon and guava sprinkled with li hing powder.  OMG!

Just a couple dollars will get you healthy and happy food.

I average 250 steps a day in Hawaii but when I’m traveling, I average 11,000.  I can feel my legs getting stronger and stronger by the day.

I rented this van and so far drove it for over 700 kilometers.  We stop at all the local shops, secret beaches, and just continue to explore this beautiful country.

At 72 years old, Kimura-san is still charging.  Sometimes dangerously charging.  We’ve been surfing everyday and much more than we expected.  Surf and eat is Taiwan surf trip life.

Just came back from checking the waves.  Now we’re going to pack up and drive another 3 hours exploring the coast.  Looking for waves, secret beaches, and lots of shells.
