did 2 dives on day 1 and i’ve seen some pretty cool things. in the
maldives, the government banned spearfishing so it’s illegal. not too
many places in the world ban spearfishing so you can just imagine how
many fish are in the ocean. try to imagine hanauma bay everywhere you go.
and because i’m a hunter, can you imagine how hard it is to see fish in
front of me that taste so good but i can’t take? there are dog tooth
tuna’s everywhere! seen some fat 100lbs ones that swim right up to
you. if this were somewhere else, we’d be eating sushi every night.
and even thought i want to speardive so badly, i’m learning something
about the ocean on this trip. i’m learning more on how fish react to
humans. i’m learning more on how some fish come up to you, and some
fish don’t. i look into their eyes and try to figure out what their
thinking. so when i go to travel around the world on spearfishing
trips, i’m way ahead of the game. but for now, i just have to be
patient and instead of eating sashimi for dinner, i’ll stick to lamb
curry, shrimp, and other delicious foods they have at this wonderful
resort. not too bad yeah? haha.
in this photo, you can see the dog tooth tuna off to the back. this one
was about 60 lbs or 25 kilos or so. pretty cool to see them swimming
around everywhere!
