imagine jumping off your balcony, paddling a challenging 40 minutes
across a deep blue channel raging with current, then surfing a super
perfect wave for 2 hours with nobody out?
well, that’s a surf session people dream about and yesterday, it
happened. it was my first surf in the maldives since 2005. after i
rode my first wave, i felt like a little kid that got the present of his
life. it’s so hard to explain the feeling, but surfing is the best for
happiness and now i know why i’ve been so happy my life. after that
session, i couldn’t stop smiling and couldn’t be any happier. i took my
brand new TSSC matchi shape 5’6 four fin and it worked awesome! i can’t
wait to ride that in hawaii!
part 2 of this trip starts this morning when our luxury boat arrives
from thailand to pick us up. we will be spoiled by 12 crew that will
take care of all our needs. i got a mail from a friend telling me that
there is a solid swell heading to the maldives this weekend. can
somebody tell me where to surf? we have speed boats and jet skies with
us so don’t be surprised if i sneak out for an evening session. i
wouldn’t even be surprised if there was a helicopter on our boat too.
haha. things are crazy for me as my dream trip continues. i hope i
never wake up!

too busy here surfing, diving, eating, yoga, gym, jacuzzi, and just
enjoying life how life is supposed to be enjoyed. one thing i learned
so far on this trip is service is everything. when i get back to
hawaii, i’m going to take my job more seriously. i’m going to work
harder, and give the top quality service that nobody else can provide.
but for now, i’m going to enjoy getting served like a king.
