hello from the middle of the ocean. i’m in south male which is under
India, and to the upper right of Madagascar. i’ve seen some amazing
things in the ocean, and i’ve experienced some amazing things on cocoa
resort, and now on this beautiful boat called the Alexandra. i don’t
even know how to explain how amazing this boat is. it’s something you
see on tv or in the movies. at 150′ long, this boat is equipped with 2
jet skies, 1 speed boat, 1 dingy, and a whole bunch of toys. imagine
staying at a 5 star hotel that is floating on the ocean. imagine
getting served all day long like your dining at a 5 star restaurant.
this boat was brought from Greece for this trip. 12 staff from Greece,
including a top 5 star chef. the food is amazing, the food is fresh,
and the food is creative. and about my room? oh my gosh!!! i’m used to
squishing in small rooms on boats sharing with other people. this one,
i have my own double bed, my own entertainment system, my own toilet,
shower, and even a deep tub.
ok, let me wake up for a second. i think i’m falling into a fantasy
world. i just free dove this ledge seeing some huge clams, and a big
hungry reef shark. then i jumped on the jet ski and took it around 2
islands flying at 80mph (130kilos). i was all alone as i circled this
island pretty far away. nobody lives there and as i took the turn behind
it, a huge coral head popped up right in front of me. brake!!! no, no
brakes on a jet ski. i almost hit it and if i did, that $10,000
fiberglass machine would be in pieces, and i would have been swept out
to see as the sun was setting. after that, i slowed down. dropped it
to 40 mph and got bored so fast. ended up coming in at over 80 mph.
haha. this yacht is incredible and i hope i don’t forget to take photos
of it because i’m just having too much fun. i’ll be a busy guy for the
next 6 days for sure. then when i get back to hawaii next week, i’m
going back to my normal life of getting barreled on the north shore.
to all my friends out there. hey, someday my dream will come true to
bring you all on a trip like this. i know how it feels to be treated
like a king and i hope you all get the same feeling someday. this is a
huge dream for me and now i know more what i really want in life. which
is to be happier than happy. other than that, i really don’t know what
to say as i really don’t believe all this is true. it’s actually
crazy! as i get ready to go upstairs for dinner, i know there will be
expensive bottles of champagne, expensive bottles of wine, and expensive
everything coming to the table. but for me, a couple of corona’s and a
few jack/cokes will do me good. i don’t want to get too drunk because
i’ll forget what the heck i’m experiencing. and if i did that, i’d be a
fool. imagine my friends asking me, “hey kirby, how was your trip?”
and i saying “oh, i don’t remember because i drank too much.” haha.
stupid yeah? i’m going to enjoy every minute of this wonderful
experience. better get going!
