Every time I see a military airplane flying over me, I think about all the wars that are going on right now. People and places are getting bombed. People are dying. And more wars are on the brink of happening. Why can’t we all live in peace?
I was 13 years old when my Mom bought me this Minolta underwater camera for my birthday. That was back in 1980. It shot in 110 film and I remember having to wind it up after every photo I took. And I also remember forgetting to wind it up and missing opportunities. I used it to take surfing photos of my buddies in Hawaii Kai, and also used it to take photos of Sandy Beach shore break. It took only 24 exposures and it was very expensive to process the film back then so I was very selective when I pressed the shutter button. I have the photos stored in some box that I will start looking for.
Now days, you can take a photo and upload it to your phone instantly. It’s so much easier but you lose the anticipation of waiting a week for the store to process your film. It’s those sleepless nights in between that I’ll never forget.
I finally found out the real problem of how water was getting into my gas tank. And it only cost me $2 to fix. That’s crazy because I was willing to pay thousands for someone to fix it. It took a lot of time to troubleshoot it but all the knowledge gained in the process was worth every minute.
