Round 1: We all woke up this morning thinking that the swell would be much smaller. BUT, we were all wrong! We got to Bowls and it was still BIG! Kawika on the perfect looking wave.
The conditions were as good as it gets. No wind and perfectly glassy conditions. Uncle Pat taking off on a set.
So nice to see the Uncles still charging on the big days!
This past swell, Uncle Pat was looking better than ever.
Ronnie on a clean one too.
I just love photos like this. You can see and feel the energy of the ocean.
The girls impressed me today. They were so comfortable out there. Taking off on sets by themselves and completing rides. Mighty Mouse caught the best Bowls left of her life.
After the past 2 days of big wave surfing, today was pretty easy for Rocky. This morning was a dream session for the girls. The waves were so good!
Round 2: Spent the afternoon session on Mayuki. Passing by the Atlantas boat stuck on the reef at Kewalo’s. They are going to try to pull it off the reef on the high tide but I don’t see that happening anytime soon.
Pretty sad looking at boats ruining the reefs over and over and over.
The girls surfed the secret spot all to themselves. Smiles and laughter in the ocean. Another great day of surfing!
