Bowls was super small this morning so we drove over to the other side of the island. Look what we found! Head high waves and nobody out! Mighty Mouse caught a lot of good waves this morning.
Photos from the last time we went diving and came across this big black spot in the ocean. Turned out to be a big bait ball!
We jumped in and watched nature work its magic. Small fish, big fish, and sharks love bait balls like this.
A very rare occurrence in Waikiki. Lucky if we even experience something like this out there again in our lifetime.
New signs were put up at Diamond Head. People put a lot of stickers on signs and block out the message so this one had a special place for stickers. The red sign below read “place stickers here and not on the above signage.” 
Shame on the person who put that sticker on the sign above. That’s so disrespectful!
I’ve been teaching the girls about the ocean. I don’t want them getting too comfortable at any time. The ocean can be calm one minute, and wild the next. So we try different things. Practice free diving, bodysurfing Sandy’s shore break, swimming with sharks, jumping off cliffs, and walking on the rock wall at Bowls. This day, we went to the wildest spot on the East side and practiced jumping into rough waves smashing on the rocks. Cuts, bruises, and sea urchins in your feet. This is the only way to understand the ocean. Hands on experience!
