I had so much fun surfing with this father and son. Surely a day to remember forever. 
Masuziro-san hasn’t surfed for 40 years. Once a local surfer from a secret river mouth in Shikoku. I’ve surfed that river mouth before and it’s one of the heaviest localized spot in the world. If you’re a visitor, you have to ask permission to surf there. Sometimes they will let you, but most of the times they won’t. Masuziro-san hasn’t surfed in 40 years so it was a pleasure to take him out for a session. 
This is a proven fact that muscle memory lasts forever. If you haven’t surfed for 40 years and can just pop up and surf like this, your muscles didn’t forget how fun this sport was. I was riding on the side and I could see and hear the joy of this legend surfer! 
67 years old and reborn! I’m sure Masuziro-san can surf for a very long time more. Perfect form and perfect style!
If it wasn’t for his son Taisei-san, this day wouldn’t have happened. Taisei-san wanted to surf so he brought along his father. This was his first time surfing and it’s crazy to think this kid wasn’t even born when his father was getting barreled at the secret river mouth. It’s great surfers DNA. 
Taisei-san yelling and screaming of joy the whole way. He was so happy and told me that he’s going back to Japan and start surfing. 
Masuziro-san proved that it’s never too late to surf, and surf again. I was so inspired by him!
