Walk to Massage

The great thing about traveling is you experience the local lifestyle.  Just keep on walking and walking and you will enter side streets.  Sometimes a little scary but you just have to be vigilant.  Keep your phone in your pocket, don’t wear expensive jewelry, and just try to blend in.  Most places I go, everybody’s trying to speak to me in the Filipino language.  That means I’m doing a good job blending in.  Haha.  If I had blonde hair and blue eyes, I’d never enter the dark streets late a night.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday are my normal walking days in Hawaii.  I’ll be lucky to take 200 steps.  Saturday I was walking mostly through airports.  Sunday was my first full day in the Philippines.  17,402 step is my lifetime record for a day.

Knowing you can find a 90 minute massage everywhere you go helps.  At just $15, you can get one everyday.  Then get ready for many more steps to come.

Enough airplanes and transits for me.  I don’t want to go anywhere anytime soon.

I had a great trip but the only stress I had was getting stuck in Guam.

Here is Kimura-san years ago surfing his favorite spot Medewi.  Speaking about Medewi, I just read an article that the Medewi locals made a new rule.  They no longer allow beginners in the lineup unless you’re with a surf guide.  That’s a great idea!  So now you have Cloud 9 in the Philippines, and Medewi in Indonesia.  Where’s next?
