This is what I came for. I custom ordered a quiver of boards from my friend Mike Woo. Each one made for different types of waves so these should me last me a few seasons. And since I’m here, I can test them all out.
I went to Keramas because Keramas was the best spot on the island. OMG, it was perfect! I took off on my first wave with a brand new board, stood up, and once I did a bottom turn, I knew that the board was magic. So I take my time, stay low, and do my first turn of the trip. The board and my soul felt amazing! Was it worth traveling 40 hours for this? Absolutely YES!
It is Ramadan now so it’s a month of fasting. Muslims don’t eat from morning to night. A very spiritual time to be here.
Last time I came to Bali, I told myself I wasn’t going to come here again. Things have changed since so that’s why I’m back. I’ll explain later.
I had the best morning session and came in very happy. I was looking forward to breakfast followed by a full body massage. Then I check my phone and get a message from the Port Captain of Waikiki Yacht Club. “It’s Manny from WYC, your boat is sinking.” OMG!!!!!! What?????
