The morning conditions everywhere were really ugly so we decided to wait. I felt the wind change at noon so I went to look at Diamond Head. It was getting better and better by the minute. 
Two hours later, we were out at Diamond Head. It was a little big and wild but that’s what we like. 
Hashimoto-san caught 4 good waves and was surprised with the power of the ocean. The water was moving a lot and felt really thick. All I saw was his take offs and the wave exploding well over his head. 
Our last wave we rode together. It was an amazing experience and now I think we have another surfer who loves Diamond Head. 
No matter who you are or what condition you are in, you will be very tired walking up this mountain after a surf. I’ve been doing it for 40 years and it’s never easy. 
A big project happening now. I’m going to spend the next couple of weeks making sure everything is perfect. 
First is taking things apart and replacing all the seals. Then on to the paint.
I’m learning so many new things about how these Yamaha motors are built and operate. It’s pretty simple when you break it down. I’m having fun taking things apart and putting it back together. And I’m having fun saving thousands and thousands of dollars doing it by myself.
