A monk seal relaxing in the sand this morning. Did you see the viral video of the tourist throwing a rock at a monk seal on Maui? A local guy beat up the tourist guy pretty bad and now the local guy is being called a hero. In Hawaii, we call it “Street Justice.”
The night I got to Manila, I was lost at midnight. Walking around the streets late at night looking for a place to stay. It’s pretty scary but you can’t act scared or you’ll be a target. So act local if possible.
Then when you finally get a room, you will be relieved. This room was so cheap!
