ok, does this world learn anything? the south african government are going to build a 400-megawatt nuclear power plant right next to the world famous surf point Jeffrey’s Bay. 10 miles away to be exact. i went to J-Bay about 10 years ago and the thing that fascinated me the most was the untouched nature. the lions, the elephants, the dolphins, the seals, and now, the power plant???? i’m pretty shocked on this news and it was my dream to visit south africa again this year. i better go before they ruin it.
the 11th time world champion Kelly Slater is a hard guy to find. i’ve seen him surfing in bali, japan, and lots of times in hawaii. when he paddles out to the lineup, the mood changes. all eyes are on the champ. and all cameras too. my sister got a rare shot of kelly slater surfing pipeline recently. kelly slater will turn 40 years old soon. can you believe a 40 year old guy is the champion of the world? can you believe that none of the new generation can take this man down? well, if you seen kelly superman surf before, you would understand why he’s the champ. at 40 years, nobody comes close to his level of surfing.
