i’m so proud of my little nephew seth moniz. he came to japan last year for the first time and got 2nd place in his division in the tssc contest in shikoku. i know he was bummed about it but didn’t show it. this year was different. seth was focused, did his hawaiian carves and won his division. the cool thing about the tssc contest is that everybody is there for fun. it’s competitive but at the same time, fun. friendships are made, and great memories forever…. i wanted to say congratulations to all the kids in this event. shun won the special class, ryota got 2nd, and ren was most improved in my eyes.. great job kids…
8 divisions and over 200 competitors. what a great event… thanks to yasan and everybody at tssc….
i don’t think any other contest in the world has better trophies than tssc. 8 divisions, 4 finalists equals 32 people. so the boys at the factory hand shaped and glassed 32 of these. all i can say is that a lot of love went into these trophies…. gosh, i wish i had one….
seth moniz has big shoes to fill. being the son of tony moniz, big waves are a requirement. i can’t wait to see where this kid’s going to take his surfing to. and i bet everybody in hawaii is proud of him, just like his uncle kirby…. omedetou gozaimasu…..
