i want to take this time to send out a message to my buddy Mike Pricket. for those of you who don’t know Mike, we both graduated from Kaiser High and Mike turned out to be one of the worlds cinematographers in the world. he worked for many hollywood movies, and for most of the big corporate surf companies around the world. Mike was always super nice to me and inspired me to become a photographer. he even sold me my first water housing and gave me underwater tips. he believed in me and always pushed me to become a better photographer, and a better person.
Mike was recently paralyzed in a scuba diving incident in tahiti. he saw another diver panicking and sinking to 220′ (67 meters) and went to help him. yes, if the guy sank to 500′, Mike still would have saved him. Mike was just that kind of guy. he’s rather die than seeing somebody else die. the other diver walked away from the accident, but Mike got decompression sickness and is in the hospital partially paralyzed from the chest down.
Hey Mike,
You’re a true hero and I know you would risk your life for anybody.
I’m praying for your full recovery.
You will get through this and you have the whole world behind you.
Hang in there brother.
