TSSC had a great idea to raise money for Shun and Hinako’s trip to Panama. during the contest, TSSC auctioned off 4 surfboards. it started at 1000 yen ($12) and went higher and higher. the bidding was intense and the winning bidders walked off the beach with a deal! all money goes to the kids trip. these 4 surfers were happy, shun and hinako were happy, tssc was happy, and when everybody is happy, i’m happy!
checking out all these demo boards was a treat. to think that anybody on the beach that day could just come up, grab a board of their choice, and try it. i didn’t surf that day but i was looking at these boards and surfing in my head. i just ordered 2 Chris Kaysen boards, and 3 Matchi boards. then i’m taking a FatBat back to hawaii on this trip. i’m going to be traveling a lot this year and will be prepared for anything. i’ve always thought that it doesn’t matter if the waves are big or small. as long as you have a magic board, it’s always good! that’s why i’m such a happy surfer!
i came back from the party the other night and was feeling great after a few beers. i walked into the room and the tv was on. as i was going to turn it off, i seen a huge tsunami hit tokyo! what???? it looked real and i was thinking “OMG!” come to find out, it was just an animation of what was possible of happening. yes, there is still a huge chance of a big earthquake in the next few years followed by a tsunami. people in japan are getting prepared and that’s the talk on the news now. they have sensors all over the place and when the next earthquake hits, it’s going to be crazy panic. this is one of the reasons i don’t watch tv anymore. i don’t want to live my life stressing about what’s going to happen. anything can happen at any given moment. that’s why i live the way i do. maximize you time, maximize your efforts, and maximize your happiness!
