good evening. south east swell? weird winds? super low tide? where’s the spot? first, we checked ala moana bowls and it was just too shallow and breaking to fast. what about waikiki queen’s???? yup!! that was the best spot today. we grabbed some longboards from tony and headed out there for an awesome session. it was crowded when we first got out but the onshore winds came so everybody went in, except us. well well well, the wind switched back off shore and the waves got really good again. 8 surfers out at perfect queen’s? yup, that was us!!! score!! then an hour later, 30 guys paddled out and everything was back to normal out there. gosh, i had fun longboarding today. so fun that i forgot to take video… haha.. next time… have a great evening and see you in the water tomorrow. south/east swell? no wind? you know where i’m going….. good night….
we went to Wet Feet in aina hina shopping center today. this store is specializes in the new stand up paddling craze… if you want to start stand up paddling, that’s the store to go to. just ask for the owner clark if your local, and ask for k-lo if you are from japan. k-lo is from japan so she can help all you japanese that want to get into stand up paddle boarding. i tried to take her photo but she told me “yada”… which means “no way”…. haha… thanks clark and k-lo for taking care of us today….
they got every kind of board you can think of in there….
and every kind of paddle too. what i learned today was a good paddle from a not so good paddle. if you want to get into stand up paddling, go for it. it ain’t that cheap but let me tell you this. “it’s much cheaper than a years membership for a sports club, a better workout, and your in the nature and not in a room with other sweaty stinky bodies” now which one would you prefer???? GO-GET WET….
