good morning 6:30 am from sunny tokyo! gosh, i’m having fun on this
trip and experiencing so many new things. been eating great food, been
seeing the beautiful cherry blossoms everywhere i go, and been doing
different things. not to mention, dragging my 50lbs (23kilo) suitcase
and 25lbs (11kilo) camera bag around. from kobe, i ended up catching 6
different trains to get to shonan and walking up and down stairs with
all the luggage wasn’t fun. it’s a lot of exercise and my shoulder is
hurting a little. but hey, it could be worst yeah?
heard about the huge earthquake in sumatra? well, they were predicting
a big one a few years ago and i hope this was it. why? because that’s
where i’m going next month. we will be on a boat and if a huge
earthquake or tsunami comes, we won’t have a clue. kind of weird
thinking about it but just can’t help it.
well, the day has finally come. we are leaving for tohoku this
morning! two cars and 10 of us! i’m getting picked up from tokyo and
i’m looking forward to the long drive. on the way up from kobe, i was
trying to sleep on the shinkansen but the thousands of cherry blossoms,
beautiful pacific ocean, and seeing mount fuji keep me wide awake. i’m
looking forward to the ride up to tohoku with my wonderful friends.
anyway, better get going. have an awesome breakfast to attend.
have a wonderful day!
