had marathon surf sessions with Yosuke-san and Chiaki-san yesterday. i couldn’t believe how strong their paddling was. i surf all the time and even my arms were sore by the end of the day. i bet they couldn’t reach up to shampoo their hair that night. haha. great surfing with you both! keep on marriage and keep on surfing!
i heard this guy kirby’s been on tv in japan. i haven’t seen it yet but hopefully i didn’t make a fool out of myself. i get super nervous in front of the camera. thanks miwa-san for recording it for me.
i got up this morning and my nephew Josh Moniz’s heat just started. it was really exciting and came down to the last 4 seconds. josh was in 3rd place facing elimination when he caught a wave at the final horn and ripped the shit out of the wave. he got a solid score and advanced to round 5. you should have heard me screaming from my house. and i bet my sister was screaming too. and imagine pops Tony Moniz holding the flag on the beach stressing while waiting for the final score. my 2 nephews Seth and Josh belong in the final and may the best boy win!
another epic matsukawa photo. toda-san, takami-san, and naoka worked hard all day long in front of the fryer making everybody happy, especially the kids. not too many people in tohoku ate a malasada before. so just watching their first bite with a big smile along with sugar on the lips made us all happy. moments like these are priceless.
**had a question. i bought my 40″ dream Sony tv 2 years ago for $750. anyway, it just broke. i took it down to Sony and they said it will cost $300 to fix. i can go and buy a new cheap brand 40″ for $450. should i buy it? or should i just fix my old one? or should i just not buy one because i never watch tv anyway? i’m so confused!!!!
