good morning. 6:15am memorial day monday. the waves looked like it dropped a little but there are still chest high sets at bowls. the surf into summer finals are today so i’m going down there to watch some heats. i better not forget to throw my skateboard in the car because there won’t be parking anywhere close. looking at ala moana park now and see 100 surfers and about 10 stand up paddlers out. it’s going to be another beautiful day here so get out and enjoy…. have a nice day….
yesterday was pretty action packed. we pulled into surftech to grab a board for toda-san. it was closed on sundays but i seen an open sign on the door. so i opened it to see that it was dark and nobody was in there. i guess somebody forgot to lock the door. 5 seconds later, the security alarm went off. oh shit!!! i called tony and had him call the owner, who is his friend. he lived kind of far away so tony told me to wait there. toda-san and takami-san walked to the gas station to get drinks. so i was just waiting there by myself when all of a sudden, 4 police cars pull in and block my car. they got out of the car and told me “stay right there”. i was laughing and thought it was a joke. but they didn’t. i’m glad they didn’t tackle me to the ground and handcuff me. one cop was being an asshole to me but finally started acting cool after he found out that my sister was tammy. yeah, if you mess with tammy moniz’s brothers, your screwed… haha…
after we got everything sorted out, the owner came and said thanks to us. the owner was pretty lucky that he had honest people like us that walked into his store. if it were dishonest people, his store would be empty in 2 minutes…. toda-san and takami-san were laughing at the whole thing… and i’m still wondering why these things always happen to me….
check out this volcano erupting. in my lifetime, i seen 2 volcano’s erupt with my own eyes. one in sumbawa, and one in japan. one from a boat, and one from an airplane. both freaking amazing events of nature. i still can’t find the video i took. i have it some where lost in the hundreds of tapes i haven’t gone through yet…. somebody help me!!!
**it’s so cool to meet people around the world on the web. this musician from france named alexandre cloutier invited me to become friends on youtube. my 42nd friend. i went to check out his website and liked his music. i don’t know if he’s famous or anything but he got a pretty cool voice and jam on the guitar. i’m going to try to find out how i can get a cd.
