i had a fun morning surfing with Yukari-san. Yukari-san is a dentist from Wakayama that loves to surf. she’s a very strong paddler and good surfer. today’s goal was to try to go out and catch 10 waves. she ended up catching over 30 waves. i think i was more tired than her when we got in. haha. Hey Yukari-san, i had a great time surfing with you today. keep on catching a lot of waves when you go back to wakayama and hope to see you again in hawaii. enjoy the rest of your stay!
if you wanted to see a perfect tropical hawaiian day, the past week was picture perfect everyday! i can’t believe how beautiful hawaii is! everywhere, everyday, and every time. this is diamond head.
matsu sent me an email yesterday with the subject “Bikkuri” which means “surprise or shock.” yes, this is bikkuri! a harley davidson washed on shore in Canada. yes, Canada!!!! the scary thing is that they are expecting 1.5 million tons of tsunami debris coming soon to places like hawaii, canada, alaska, and the united states of america.
how do they know where the motorcycle came from? the license plate says “Miyagi” prefecture. i hope they find the owner of this bike so he can get it back. if it was mine, i would get it back because it is a sign of “SURVIVAL.”
anyway, had a long day. or should i say “long days.” been surfing an average of 4-5 hours/day. i’m super sunburned and sleep with a warm body because i don’t have time to cool down. but the good thing is i’m enjoying every minute of it! my new years resolution was to work hard and play harder. i’m working hard now so imagine what i will be doing with my play time? haha.
