it will be 11 days for us on the boat. there will be waves on the first
week, and now i’m looking at the second week. see that big red storm on
the bottom left? that will send huge waves to mentawai but i’m not sure
if it will reach us in time. if it does, great. if it doesn’t, it’s
ok. just so long we all enjoy ourselves.
well, because bali is one hour before japan time, i woke up at 2am this
morning instead of 3. it’s such a weird feeling. i’m tweaking out in
my room playing around with my surfboards and stuff. i guess it’s good
because i have to wax it up. then i walked outside to check the waves.
as soon as i felt the onshore winds, i knew that i have to go to the
other side. maybe uluwatu? i didn’t rent a scooter yet so have to wait
till it opens. gosh, i wish i had one right now. i would be the first
guy out at uluwatu today. shucks! i should just walk there? but i
hate walking.
had a good flight here. garuda airlines is getting much better than
before. 15 years ago, every time i boarded a garuda airplane, i thought
i was going to die. the planes use to be old, rusting, and just in bad
shape. and a plane crash was common. now, they have all new planes and
it feels much safer.
yes, i’m here again at the best dam hotel in bali, and possibly in the
world. my deluxe suite overlooks the whole nusa dua side. cool winds,
huge pool, good food, and excellent service.
well, i’m looking at the clock now and it’s 4:27am. yeah! soon it’s
morning! going to jump in the water, get a massage, change some money,
eat street food, and soak in the pool this evening. have a wonderful
day, night, or morning where ever you are!
