good evening. hope you all had a great day. today was the first time i woke up past 7am in probably over a year. i turned off my phone, alarms, and everything before i went to sleep because i wanted to try to sleep past 8am. guess how i woke up? you will never believe. get to that later.
anyway, as usual, i wake up and check my email. got a job offer to shoot for a fashion magazine in japan. because i wanted to take today off, i would have usually said “NO.” but there was a reason i took the job last minute.
the reason is my niece kelia moniz is involved. and since she leaves to california today, nobody else could have done the job anyway. i didn’t want to even ask her to shoot today because i know she’s the main roxy girl and is doing all kinds of photo shoots down at waikiki, and she also competed all day yesterday. but a job is a job and i know all i need is 10 minutes with her to get the shot. so 10 minutes it was, 200 photos later, and the job is done. thanks kelia for fitting me in your rough schedule! have a safe flight to california and to the Maldives!!!! lucky girl!!!
roxy puts up a lot of money running this event every year in waikiki. good chance for the girl surfers to showcase their surfing.
there was a long line for free roxy goodies! had free jamba juice, and also free styling by paul mitchel. cool event.
from my little cute niece to the main face of Roxy International is pretty crazy. i knew Kelia would succeed by her talent, heart and looks, but honestly, i didn’t know that she would get this big. she’s famous around the world. that’s her surfing and her on the front of the indo boat. cool!
took some beach photos of waikiki and will post them tomorrow morning. i promise. for now, i want to enjoy the last few hours of my day off. hope you have a great evening and happy fathers day again to all the fathers out there!
last. on 1/1/12, i told myself that i would work hard this year. hard, but not this hard. i just came back from a trip and things are just going to get busier and busier as the year goes by. i can’t even plan a 1 week vacation anywhere? OMG!
