surfed with Kikawa-san yesterday. i was surprised how good he got since the last time we surfed together last year. good take off, good bottom turn, and good up and down speed. i was stoked to see him catch so many good waves. after we surfed 3 hours, we ate at a local plate lunch restaurant near my house. beef stew for me, teriyaki furikake salmon for Kikawa-san. on the other end, a small town in hokkaido called Yuni is selling land for pocket change. yeah, you can buy a square meter for 120 yen or $1.51. the population there is going down so the government wants to lure people back. now this is in my price range! maybe i can actually buy my dream house and live in Hokkaido! snowboard and eat crab! sounds nice!
