can you imagine watching a spot break like off the wall and not being able to surf it? that’s what i had to do yesterday and it was killing me. watching all the boys getting barreled while getting video footage for the okinawa saiko movie, and a big article in surf1st. it’s my job to be out there so i was feeling helpless. i kept on trying to raise my arm to see if i could paddle but couldn’t. it was pain and suffering in my shoulder and mind… i was so frustrated that i stole this photo off rikio’s blog without asking… gomen rikio…

this is takahashi-san X 2. yes, 2 takahashi-san’s. twins? yup. when i first met toshi-san the other night, i couldn’t believe my eyes. i thought it was the beers playing tricks on me. same face, same body, same voice, and same personality. now i have 2 guys making trouble to me… haha…
walk 80 steps out of the beach hotel and you will reach the famous sunabe wall. it’s there where you’ll find pure nature!!!
and last, the new surf trip journal is out!!! yup, our article on the last trip we did to miyazaki is in there along with the DVD. i was really stoked how it turned out because that was a really fun trip. and looking at the article and dvd made me realize that big wave surfing isn’t everything. you can have fun on the smallest days. if you have the right equipment and right friends, it’s all good. and i had both of that…. thanks to susumu-san and surf trip journal for the wonderful article. can’t wait to do it again….
