yesterday was an awesome day for me. taking the 9 members of the Kimura-san family around was fun. it’s their first time to hawaii so everything was new to them. from mounalua gardens, to king kamehameha statue, to tantalas, to waiola, to diamond head, to fook yuen. all fun! here is kimura-san and his lovely daughters.
the kids in tohoku lost a lot. kimura-san’s younger daughter only has 3 students left in the 3rd grade at her school. and the whole school combined with only 27 students left. that’s sad.
chinese is a must in hawaii. peking duck and lobster will make any hungry family happy. it was so good!
want to thank miwa-san for my backup guide yesterday. she saved me because it would have been impossible to fit 9 people in my car. thank you miwa-san!
2 days ago, i woke up in bed thinking about what happened this past year. matsu plays a big part in my life, and also in our We Are One project. i know he’s busy, so am i, but i had a feeling that he should be here in hawaii right now. i ask him to come, he says ok, and goes standby on a plane from bangkok to narita. hopefully he made the transit flight and if things go smoothly, he will be in hawaii any minute. check matsu out feeding his kitten he saved from the streets of bangkok. hey matsu, hope you made the fully booked flight, hope you got business class, and hope to see you soon. let’s hang out in hawaii for a few days, then go back to japan to surf our dream!
the waves were very small yesterday but who cares. i have much more important things going on so the waves don’t matter right now. appreciate what you have. keep positive, and keep on smiling!
