another day, another time. i’m starting to like this little secret road up in the mountain. going to keep this place a secret!
a lot of japanese people don’t know what moi is. why? because there isn’t moi in japan. and in ancient hawaiian history, only kings got to eat this prized fish. if a common person got caught eating moi, he would be put to death. just recently, they started to farm raise these fish off ewa beach so the price went down and there is plenty for everyone. grilled is the best but till this day, i’ve never eaten it sashimi or raw. not until i had it at Gaku. OMG! i will never eat grilled moi ever again. sashimi is the best!!!!
seen some guys night diving near the waikiki the other night. isn’t it illegal??? i’m almost 99% sure it’s illegal to night dive from the lighthouse to the wall at waikiki. shame on you night divers!!!!
remember i posted a blog back in february about billabong getting offered $850 million buyout from a big company but the boss gordon merchant said “no thank you?” well, 6 months later, he might say “thank you” to the same company that is now offering only $695 million. that’s a $155 million loss in 6 months? or in yen, it’s a 12,128,000,000 yen loss. OMG! billabong shares were selling for $9.54/share but as of yesterday, they were only worth $1.39/share. if that were me, i’d slap myself in the face, say sorry to the shareholders, and sell immediately!!!! then i’d take my millions, buy an island, invite my friends, and surf for the rest of my life. simple yeah?
*wanted to say hello to Manami-san. thank you for your comment and next time you see me somewhere in hawaii, come and say hi. i hope you enjoyed your big kua’aina hamburger! mahalo.
*check out this boat crash. with the ocean being so wide, there is no excuse for something like this. i’m glad i wasn’t on either of those boats. come on everybody, boat safe!
