everybody’s been talking about the worst summer in hawaiian history. really? shucks, i feel like i just got barreled last week? haha. still can’t get my japanese barrels out of my mind. as for me, the summer here in hawaii has been excellent. we’ve been scoring empty spots recently and i hope it stays this way for a while. once the waves come up to 2′, everybody gets hungry and aggressive. now, it’s all about having fun! i’m loving it and the people i’m surfing with are loving it too. no stress surfing continues….
my eyes have been on this side of the world. yeah, this is where the best waves are at this time of year and my eyes are glued to the satellite forecasts. once i see a little egg forming into a storm, i’m on a plane. but for now, everything is quiet so next week might be a world sightseeing trip, or a hawaiian free diving tour. either way, i’m a happy guy.
i get asked a lot which is the best business class from hawaii to japan. well, since i rode in almost all airplanes with all companies, i can honestly say that delta has the best seat. they are remodeling all their jets into comfortable seats like these. i feel like i’m in a capsule hotel. nobody bothers you, the bed is a full 180 degree flatbed, the movie screen is pretty big, the noise reduction headphones are awesome, and don’t forget the champagne and ice cream for desert. ever since i met my delta buddy, i’m a happier traveler. happy traveling!
