just wanted to say hello to ken-san in wakayama. i can’t wait to go back there, drink some beers, and listen to your awesome music….
there’s a saying “When in Rome, Do as the Romans Do”. so when i’m in japan, i do as the japanese do. i drink asahi beers, i eat raw horse, i got to festivals, and i have lots of fun….
check out this amazing photo. you have to be brave to pull into something like this. why? because if you make a mistake and wipe out, you can die right there in an instant…..
and last, i haven’t swam in a competition in my life. i free dive, but that’s different. i’ve swam for hours and hours, but that’s different. so when mito-chan told me this past summer that she’s been entering open ocean swimming competition, i got interested. i’m just curious how i will do against guys my age. so this year when i go back to hawaii, i’m going to enter a long open water swimming competition. am i going to train? no. i’m just going to go for it. i want to see how far i can go in the shape i am now. then i will train hard to beat my own time. i can’t wait… and maybe i’ll take my spear and spear a fish on the way to the goal line. haha….
