i was digging back into my photo library looking for photos. then i came across these from a Flipper Magazine Maui trip 3 or 4 years ago. it was a big project with 3 wonderful body boarding girls. i almost forgot how lucky and fun it was. haha.
back then had the Super Ferry that went from oahu to maui. it was the greatest idea ever! it was fast, clean, big, and pretty cheap. just drive down to the honolulu pier, drive your car on the ferry, and you’ll be in maui a few hours later. i’m so bummed they went out of business. say hello to Ayako, Mito, and Aki!

the 3 girl had their own room, our should i say own “house.” a big 2 story 2 bedroom oceanfront home. and can you believe i had one of these to myself too? i remember being so lonely at night. haha. actually it was pretty scary staying in this house alone because it was just too big.
when you spend 4 full days with fun people, you get a lot closer. after i came back from that trip, one of my friends said “omg, you’re so lucky!” i replied “yeah, i know.” haha. i went as a photographer so everything was paid for, and on top of that, i got paid too. what an awesome job it was!
turned out to be a huge article with a cover shot. thanks girls for the wonderful time! we have to do it again!
