ohayo gozaimasu!!! hope you have a wonderful day!!!
**earlier this year, i was asked by kyle at redsea adventures to be a guide for a trip to japan. it’s something i really wanted to do because i want to share this wonderful place to the people in hawaii. the trip filled up fast and when my mom found out about it, she jumped on too. and now that she’s coming, i’m excited to show her the life i’ve been living for half of my life. after long trips, i use to go back to hawaii and just be exhausted. my mom never felt sorry for me because she thought i only surfed. well, surfing is the easy part, traveling is the part that takes a toll on your body. come october 12th, she’s going to find out what i’ve been doing for half a year for the past 18 years. the trip will be 16 full days with 18 people. our plan? fly in to kansai, osaka for 3 nights, kyoto for a day, hiroshima for a day, katsuura for a day, wakayama for 2 days, okinawa for 3 days, and bali for 5 days. i’m looking forward to introducing everybody to my extended families here in japan. take them to places that will blow their mind. the easy part for me is when i go back to hawaii this week, i don’t have to empty out my suitcase. i’m going to put it on the side, then when i leave for my next trip, just take it like that. i’ve been living out of it for over 2 months so what’s 16 more days?

this is one place we will be experiencing. it’s a huge temple tucked in the mountains in wakayama. if you have any questions about this part of the trip, ask seth moniz. he’s been there before….

and we’ll be doing things that normal tourists can’t do. things like going in the back rooms of the temple and having a tea ceremony. this is real japan….

then when we go to okinawa, this is must. the chuuraumi aquarium. 1pm is feeding time for the the whale sharks and you don’t want to miss that…

this is the part i’m looking forward for my mom to see. indonesians live a really simple life. they don’t need electronic gadgets, they don’t need a house full of food, and don’t need to buy everything that comes out on sale. all the need is their daily necessities. seeing how they live really makes you appreciate the little things you have back home…..
**oh, message for jun at nine surf in hiroshima. can you make a reservation for shingo’s moms gyoza restaurant for october 16th. 18 people at 7pm. thanks and see you soon….
**also takahashi-san at the beach hotel in okinawa. just wanted to reconfirm the mini-bus for october 20-23rd. yoroshiku onegaishimasu. can’t wait to see you all again!!!
