hey, how are you all enjoying this endless summer? i surfed out bowls yesterday and it was super good! big 4′ sets and perfect conditions again! the waves have been perfect everyday and i’m super stoked to be able to drive 10 minutes to the beach and score! yeah, the north shore has been good too but i’m not done with summer yet. got a big photo shoot this afternoon and hope everything goes well. kind of nervous in front of the camera but i’ll be in my surfing/diving world so it should be ok. anyway, wish me luck as i go make a fool out of myself. haha.
through surfing, i’ve met people from all walks of life. this group is special. each and everyone has a speciality in some sort. whether it’d be a business specialist, a wine specialist, a driving specialist, an izakaya specialist, a diving specialist, a manager specialist, or a massage specialist, this team is solid. yeah, team work! something that can’t be beat! peace!

i really like Akaura-san. such a big pure heart! paddling and surfing is getting better and better. next time, he’ll be on a 10′ for sure.
and last, this is one special girl that changed my life. Yumei-chan is deaf. but you know what? she’s not letting anything get in her way. from seminars all over japan, to competing in professional contest at pipeline, to traveling the world, to 2 books, and to touching many others lives. Yumie-chan did something else spectacular. she got her lifeguard license!!! and watch tv on october 18th and you will see her amazing story. can somebody please tape it for me? thank you.
