had a super good fun day yesterday surfing with Ono-san and Niwa-san. these guys are super cool! the waves were fun, it was uncrowded, and we surfed until their arms couldn’t take anymore. it was a long paddle in but very satisfying! then had another great session with Inaida-san and Yuki-san. the waves were perfect all day long! it’s such a cool feeling watching everybody’s surfing level go higher and higher. i know that there is no ultimate level and even great surfers strive toward it. as long as you’re happy, it’s all good!

i was at honolulu airport last night for 4 hours trying to get on a flight. all flights were totally booked and i couldn’t believe how many people were down at the airport so late at night. my last chance to get out of hawaii was midnight and i told myself that if i didn’t get on, i would sleep at the airport because my backpacking tour has officially begun. luckily, i was the last guy to get on and i was heading to san francisco. why? i have no idea. haha. but as i was flying over the clouds watching the sunrise, i felt so happy. so happy to be traveling around with such basic things stuck in a backpack. i’m prepared to travel anywhere in this world and that’s what i’m going to do.

so i land in san francisco, all outbound flights overbooked and oversold. what to do? eat a $3 piece of bread, drink water, do this blog, and figure out my next plan. luckily my younger brother lives here so hopefully he will wake his ass up and call me. maybe i’ll be here for a couple of days but there’s no turning back. i still have to get to the other side of this world.
maybe see the golden gate bridge, ride the cable car, eat at fisherman’s wharf, head to the pier, and take a nap. i’m tired. then i’ll be back here tomorrow trying to get any flight to anywhere. i even was trying to go to the bahamas this morning but couldn’t get on. shucks! at this point, i don’t care where i go, i just want to keep on moving!
have a wonderful day!
