good morning. 5:20 am sunday morning. can’t see a thing but the waves should be good on the north shore. the wind stations in town are already picking up the south/west winds so if you want to get clean waves, better surf early. if you want onshore junky waves, party every night, wake up late, and you will get to the beach right as the winds get onshore. it will be like that all week long…. my boards are loaded and i’m out of here!!! have a nice 3rd day of 2010!!

that’s my nephew Isaiah “Takeo” Moniz. at 15 years old, isaiah, or should i say Takeo-chan qualified for the Hawaii World Junior Surf Team. in a young surfers career, making the world team for your country is the highest accomplishment ever. and being chosen as one of the top 12 amateur surfers in hawaii is huge. isaiah and the other 11 junior surfers will represent hawaii in the world junior contest that will be held in New Zealand coming this february. isaiah’s been called the “sleeper” and doesn’t have a big name like his peers. but you know what? i’m putting my money on my nephew. i told him that he has nothing to lose and everything to gain. right now people don’t know who isaiah moniz is, but come february, the whole world will know him. go isaiah!!!
i taught isaiah how to do air’s. good boy isaiah, just like how uncle taught you… haha… just joking….. anyway, wanted to congratulate hawaii’s top 12 surfers who made the world team. have a successful trip in new zealand. and bring home the championship!!!!
i just seen the front page of the honolulu star bulletin. the big news isn’t president obama visiting hawaii, the big news is president obama visiting Island Snow in kailua for some cool shave ice. james kodama, i wanted to congratulate you and your store for cooling down our president of the united states. did you get to meet him? it must have been an honor. hope everything is good and wanted to wish you a happy new year!! president fukunaga will be passing by island snow in kailua sometime soon. see you there. haha…
