good morning. i couldn’t have picked a better day to sleep in. well, waking up at 7 am is sleeping in for me. i got up, looked outside, and it looked so dark and wet. it’s super cloudy and raining so today will be an indoor day. computer work and catching up on emails and stuff. after this storm rolls by, it’s going to get sunny and nice for the next week. have a great wet day!!!
about 10 years ago, my friend mike and i use to scout grounds on the east side. we would take turns pulling each other around looking for all the fish. then when we found a spot, i would mark it on my GPS. we came across this nice ULUA or GT hole that is pretty hard to find. if you looked from the top, you would just swim right over it. but deep inside the hole, big fish are roaming around. i must have caught over 10 ulua’s in that one hole. anyway, my GPS broke a few years ago and i lost that point and couldn’t find it, until last week…. i found it last week and since then, we got 4 of these boys out of there. this was ulua #11. i’m pretty sure i can go back on any given day and they will be in there. wanna spear your first ulua? call me up… well, only if your my friend. haha…
about 10 years ago, my friend mike and i use to dive all day long and all we took with us was water, shoyu, and wasabi. we would catch our lunch and not once we starved. when lunch time came, we would sashimi lobster, ika, tako, and any kind of fish. so cutting up an ika yesterday and eating it brought back the good old memories. i think from now on, i’m going back to my old ways. just bringing water, shoyu, and wasabi. nothing taste better than the food you catch….
