been having a great time with Kimura-san and Atsuko-san. we talk about life, surf, friends, business, and pretty much everything you can think of. i’ve been getting good advise from them for the past 15 years. they know how to keep me in line. and once i start acting or thinking stupid things, they wake me up to reality. two people i fully respect, and two people i will listen to for the rest of my life.
ok, where’s the best steak in hawaii? ruth chris!!! the rib eye if you like fatty juicy steak, and filet mignon if you like lean steak. it was my 2nd time to the restaurant row location and i liked it a lot. why? because there are no tourists. go try it!
Opolo? i am the worst wine taster in the world. i’ve tried $10 bottle of wines and $10,000 bottles of wine. to me, they all taste the same. what i like is a fruity red wine that is easy to drink. and i finally found my match. Opolo @ $60 from ruth chris, or $20 from tamura’s.
the sun finally came back. and it felt so good! just look how beautiful diamond head is!!!! great weather for the next week. yes!
**last, there are so many fights in hawaii everyday. most you will never hear about or see. but with today’s technology, you better be sure of yourself before you throw the first punch because everybody has a camera or video camera. we just had the pro bowl last sunday at the aloha stadium. and when you mix alcohol and football, you will see some pretty aggressive people. check this out!
