wow, had a great time with Nakamoto-san this morning. i surfed with him the first time last september and he just learned how to turn his surfboard to the right that day. this morning, he was turning right, turning left, and catching so many long waves. for me, seeing surfers improving is rewarding. it’s the fun part of the job and when you see the smiles, it’s the reward. Nakamoto-san, great surfing today. hope you have a wonderful trip in hawaii and hope to surf with you in isanoura someday. Keep on surfing!
ok, i get an email from a property manager last week. some idiots came by the beach late at night and sprayed graffiti on the newly painted building wall. she was pissed and so am i. when people disrespect other peoples properties, we have to teach them a lesson. that’s the only way they will learn.
so i stop by to talk to the property manager this morning and she was already on it. yeah, there were people sitting on the wall and she’s not going to tolerate it anymore. she already called the cops. then she told me, “kirby, next time you see or hear anybody on our private beach, call 911.” i told her, “i see and hear people drinking on the wall all the time.” well, the next time, i’m calling Hawaii Five O! Book um Danno!
so i waited there till the cops came today. it took 10 minutes from the time she called for 3 police cars to show up. i’m starting to like that neighborhood because everybody looks out for everybody. and when people are watching everything, it feels safe. so if you young kids or troublemakers want to go there to drink, smoke, party, or graffiti, you better watch out because you will go to jail. those people around there have money and zero toleration so expect the best lawyers coming after you. yeah, i’d be scared too.
