i always loved to work on cars, especially VW’s. when i was in high school, i use to take my VW squareback apart and put it back together. changing the engine took 1 hour and instead of using a hydraulic jack, i used a skateboard. so when i was passing by porsche yesterday, i stopped by to watch the guy take out the engine. same as VW’s! cool! i want to be a mechanic again!
had a super cool surf session with Yoshida-san yesterday. taking people around hawaii on their first trip here is always fun. just to see their eyes once they get out of waikiki. i was telling him as we were driving around kaimuki and diamond head “this is the real hawaii. green, trees, ocean, no traffic, and just peaceful. waikiki is waikiki, but this is hawaii.” and he couldn’t stop taking photos.
