we couldn’t have timed it better. right as we made our way back from the calm ocean, the strong west winds picked up. if we were still out there, it would have been really rough.
the north shore doesn’t like the west winds too. yuck!
i knew my nephews were going to be diving yesterday so i took a spin with my boat to see what they caught. they looked so tired fighting the strong current all the way out at sea. if they were girls, i would have taken them in on my boat. but because they are boys, i told them “have a nice swim in.” haha. that’s my way of making these kids tough. but i was pretty impressed as they all caught fish.
it’s so funny when the kids are all suited up with masks, gloves, hoods, and full wetsuits. i don’t know who is who. but this who sure had a lot of good eating fish and a pretty nice size tako.
if you see all red, it’s a good day. this is kaylen with the money catch.
i didn’t have to swim in. but i use to swim in all the time when i was a kid. it’s part of paying your dues. kyle took this fish eye photo of me holding up a couple of menpachi’s. we went to my secret cave where a hundred or so live. we took what we needed to eat, and left. a very successful day in the ocean!
i got some cool photos from yesterday. post them soon.
